The Golden Rules
Whatever you're wearing, whether it's brass, stainless steel or copper wire wrapped, these apply across the board.
- Avoid water, perfume, lotions and harsh chemicals. Put your jewellery on last, after you've finished getting ready.
- Remove your piece before sleeping, swimming or exercising. Sweat and moisture are the biggest cause of tarnish.
- Store each piece in the pouch provided to prevent scratches and keep air and moisture out.
- Handmade means natural. Brass and copper may tarnish over time. That's not a fault, it's the metal doing what metal does, and it polishes back up beautifully.
Caring for Your Brass Pieces
Brass has warmth and depth that other metals can't fake, and a little natural tarnish is part of its character. To keep yours glowing, wipe it over with a soft, dry cloth after wearing. If it needs a proper clean, a little mild soap and warm water with a soft toothbrush will lift everyday dirt. For deeper tarnish, a dab of plain white toothpaste on a soft cloth, buffed gently and rinsed off, works wonders. Always dry thoroughly before popping it back in its pouch.
Caring for Your Stainless Steel Pieces
Stainless steel is the low maintenance Diva of the collection. It resists tarnish beautifully, so a quick wipe with a soft, damp cloth after wearing is usually all it needs. For a bit more shine, warm water with a touch of mild soap will do the job. Just dry it well and store it away from anything that could scratch the surface.
Caring for Your Copper Wire Wrapped Pieces
Copper is a living metal. It reacts to air, moisture and skin, and over time it may develop a soft patina, or in some cases leave a temporary green mark on your skin. Both are completely natural and nothing to worry about, a quick wash with soap and water sorts the skin, and the patina only adds to the character. Because these pieces are wire wrapped, often around crystals, please don't soak them. Instead, gently wipe with a soft, dry cloth after wearing, and store flat in the pouch provided so the wire keeps its shape.
Storing Your Diva Pieces
A cool, dry spot and the pouch provided are really all your jewellery needs between wears. Keep pieces separate so they don't scratch each other, and out of direct sunlight and humidity where possible. Treat storage as part of the ritual, not an afterthought.
Returns and Exchanges
We want you to love what you've chosen. Our returns and exchanges work slightly differently depending on where you shopped with us.
Bought online? Exchanges are accepted within 14 days of purchase with proof of purchase, provided the item is unworn, in its original condition and with all packaging.
Bought in person, at our boutique or one of our market stalls? Exchanges are accepted within 7 days of purchase with proof of purchase, provided the item is unworn, in its original condition and with all packaging. In-person purchases are exchange only, we're unable to offer cash refunds for a change of mind.
Whichever way you shopped, for hygiene reasons earrings can only be exchanged or returned if faulty, and the same goes for bespoke, personalised and made-to-order pieces. Sale items can only be returned or exchanged if faulty or not as described. None of this affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, faulty items are always covered by law.
